I don't usually comment on what happens in the world here. But I have been teary eyed since I read the headline this morning. I immediately thought it was some kind of sick joke. Not Anthony Bourdain.
Loss brings some really in-your-face realities into your purview. My mind raced thinking about the logistics, the communications, the chaos, the questions. His daughter and his family. His love.
My gut aches.
I read something this morning about how it's helpful to share our struggles with depression and darkness so others can relate and know they aren't alone. So I will share this with you...
Wonder&Flow didn't happen over night. It didn't happen on organic chicken and fresh flowers and yoga. It's in my life because I stayed on an antidepressant when I wanted to get off and went to counseling every week when I wanted to quit.
Darkness settled upon me. I was consumed.
I sought help. And thankfully, my cocktail of antidepressants and counseling and family and friends was the right mix to help me recover and heal.
FRIENDS: Love. Light. Meds. Counseling. Gardening. Pets. Each other. Running. Sweets. Laughs. Cries. Whatever they may be.
We need all the things.
Let's support one another as we do what we need to do to stay here. We each have a place. We are all an intricate and beautiful part of this world. YOU MATTER.
